Angel has Fallen doesn’t fall from #1 at the Weekend Box Office

Last week’s top five films repeated in the top five spots, though The Lion King and Overcomer swapped places.

Lionsgate’s Angel has Fallen repeated in the top spot taking in another $11.6 million domestically. The film was followed up by Universal’s Good Boys which rand up another $9.2 million in receipts. The comedy has taken in $56.2 million domestically so far.

Third place saw The Lion King jump up two spots with another $6.7 million. The live action Disney remake has now taken in an estimated $1.564 billion worldwide since release. Universal’s Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw held on to the number four spot with another $6.3 million while Overcomer dropped to fifth place with $5.7 million.

This Friday will see just one wide release set to hit theatres with most films staying clear of Warner Bros.’ release of It: Chapter Two.
