Avengers: Infinity War opens strong at the Weekend Box Office | April 27-29, 2018

Unsurprisingly, super hero epic film Avengers: Infinity War rose to the top of the weekend box office with an estimated $250 million domestically. Including international cumes, the blockbuster has already taken in a whopping $630 million worldwide over the weekend. Lifted by the anticipation of this newest film from Disney / Marvel Studios, Black Panther upped from #8 last week to break back into the top 5 with a #5 showing and another $4.4 million for that film. Black Panther now has $688 million domestically and another $643 million internationally.

Dropping to the #2 spot was Paramount’s surprise success A Quiet Place. The PG-13 horror thriller added another $10.6 million at the box office to bring its worldewide cume now to $235 million.

Holding at #3 over the weekend was STX Entertainment’s I Feel Pretty with another $8.1 million. The #4 film of the week was Warner Bros.’ Rampage, which dropped two spots and added $7.1 million.

Next weekend will see horror thriller Bad Samaritan open in theatres as well as the romantic comedy Overboard and the comedy Tully.
