Captain Marvel keeps on flying at the Weekend Box Office

Marvel’s Captain Marvel took the top spot at the weekend box office once again over the weekend. The newest film in the MCU took in another $69.3 million domestically. Worldwide the film has now generated $760 million.

Opening in second place was Wonder Park from Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Movies. The animated feature took in an estimated $16 million over the weekend, which was higher than pre-release expectations. The third place film over the weekend was the romance Five Feet Apart from LionsGate. The film opened with $13.1 million.

Rounding out the top five were last weeks number two and three films respectively. Universal and DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World with another $9.3 million followed by Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral with another $8.1 million for LionsGate.

Opening next weekend is the thriller Us from Universal Pictures. The Bleeker Street film Hotel Mumbai will so see limited release.
