Dinosaurs of Jurassic World dominate the Weekend Box Office | June 22-24, 2018

The great lizards from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom easily won the weekend box office with the tentpole flick earning an estimated $150 million at the domestic box office. While the opening weekend performance is down from the last film, Fallen Kingdom has also taken in $561.5 million internationally as well for a worldwide cume of $711.5 million. The film opened a week early in international territories with the top international market the ever important China with a $170 million total already from the middle kingdom.

Taking the second spot at the box office was Disney’s record breaking Incredibles 2 with another $80.9 million. The film has earned just over $350 million in two weeks domestically and another $134 million internationally.

Rounding out the top five were Warner Bros.’ Ocean’s 8 with $11.5 million, Warner Bros.’ Tag with $8.5 million, and 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool 2 with $5.3 million. Deadpool 2 has earned $707.2 million worldwide since release.

Friday’s big release comes from Sony/Columbia Pictures’ sequel Sicario: Day of the Soldado. Lionsgate and Summit will also release the comedy Uncle Drew.
