I’ve been looking forward to the Marvel properties on Netflix since they were first announced. Sure there are some pretty good other shows on television based on comics, but they are pretty restrained by their network television leash. I love The Flash, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Gotham, and I’m equally looking forward to SuperGirl later in the fall.
But Netflix is a whole other animal. There are things that you can do in a grittier show that you can do on Netflix (or premium cable) that you can’t do on regular television. I enjoyed the Daredevil series earlier in the year and while I have no past knowledge of who or what Jessica Jones is, I’m looking forward to this new series.
Working as a private investigator in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen, an ex-Super Hero’s past comes back to haunt her. Starring Krysten Ritter, David Tennant, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville and Erin Moriarty. I’ve resisted the urge to look up more about the series as I enjoy being surprised whenever I can. And while this is only a teaser trailer, I’m sure the full trailer which will soon follow will have more detailed information.
All episodes of ‘Marvel’s Jessica Jones’ will premiere on Netflix on November 20th.
