It was announced last week that K-Pop super group BLACKPINK has added North American dates to their world tour and Hamilton has made the list. The show being added to the FirstOntario Cetnre in Hamilton is the only Canadian stop on the North American leg of the tour and only one of six cities in which the group will perform.
Tickets for the concert went on sale today at 4pm ET and quickly sold out, though tickets have started to reappear on reseller sites like StubHub, SeatGeek, and on Ticketmaster itself. Presale tickets were being offered by scalpers on another website for upwards of $1,000 on Tuesday, however the inflated aftermarket prices for BLACKPINK tickets have settled at this point from $175 – $250 for upper level seats and $300 – $500.
As a fan of K-Pop I’m thrilled that the group is coming to Hamilton, though I’m also hoping that the resale market drops ticket prices a little bit.
BLACKPINK’s other North American dates include April 6th in Chicago, Los Angeles on April 17th, May 1st in Newark, May 5th in Atlanta, and May 8th in Fort Worth.
BTS, another K-Pop group, performed in Hamilton last September.
