No stopping Avengers atop the Weekend Box Office | May 11-13, 2018

For the third week in a row Disney and Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War took the top spot at the weekend box office, taking in another impressive $61.7 million. The blockbuster has now surpassed $1.6 billion worldwide in the three weeks of release.

Opening in the #2 spot was New Line’s Life of the Party. The Melissa McCarthy comedy opened with an estimated $18.5 million while other new release Breaking In from Universal debuted at #3 with an estimated $16.5 million.

Rounding out the top five this weekend were Overboard from Pantelion with $10.1 million and Paramount’s A Quiet Place with dropped to #5 with another $6.4 million.

Next week sees new releases Book Club from Paramount as well as R-rated superhero flick Deadpool 2 from 20th Century Fox.
