After a lot of backlash from the release of the initial trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog, Paramount Pictures and Sega took heed of the criticism and actually did something about it. Rather than ignore fan feedback and plowing ahead with release, the producers pushed back the movie by three months to overhawl the design of Sonic.
Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren't happy with the design & you want changes. It's going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be… #sonicmovie #gottafixfast 🔧✌️

The film was originally scheduled to be released last weekend and Paramount Pictures dropped the new trailer this morning. The redesign of Sonic looks far better than the original design and is more in line with the look of the character from the popular video game series.
What do you think of the redesign of Sonic? Are you excited to see the film when it’s released on February 14th, 2020? I know I am.
