Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker took the top spot at the weekend box office for the third straight weekend. The film took in another $33.7 million to bring the film’s total domestic cume to $450.8 million. Worldwide the film has taken in $918.8 million.
Sticking at second place was Sony’s third Jumanji film with Jumanji: The Next Level taking in another $26.5 million. The film now has a domestic haul of $236.2 million with a worldwide take of $610.2 million since releasing on December 13th.
Sony also had the number three and four films over the weekend. Little Women earned another $13.6 million in its sophomore weekend while the newest The Grudge debuted in forth place with $11.3 million.
Rounding out the top five was Disney’s Frozen II which took in another $11.2 million to bring the domestic earnings of the animated sequel to $449.8 million. Worldwide the film has generated $1.325 billion for Disney.

Next weekend will see the release of the comedy Like a Boss from Paramount Pictures. The film follows two friends with very different ideals who start a beauty company together. One is more practical while the other wants to earn her fortune and live a lavish lifestyle.
Universal Pictures will open the war drama 1917 and Warner Bros opens the drama Just Mercy starring Brie Larson, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx, and Rafe Spall. Finally 20th Century Fox will open the thriller Underwater.
