Thor remains on top, Daddy’s come second at the Weekend Box Office | November 10-12, 2017

Disney and Marvel’s latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Thor: Ragnarok easily took the top spot at the weekend box office in its sophomore weekend. The film landed another $56.6 million domestically and has not generated $650 million worldwide since its release.

Taking in the second spot and taking home a strong $30 million is Paramount comedy sequel Daddy’s Home 2. The release was a much needed win for Paramount which has been having a challenging time at the box office as of late finding a solid showing. Other new release Murder on the Orient Express from 20th Century Fox opened strong with an estimated $28.2 million.

Elsewhere STX Entertainment’s A Bad Moms Christmas finished its second week of release in fourth spot with $11.5 million while Lionsgate’s Jigsaw earned $3.4 million and fifth spot in the film’s third weekend.

Next weekend will see some crowding at the box office with the release of Warner Bros.’ Justice League. Sony will also open biblical animated film The Star into wide release.
