2019 is a year of firsts. It was the first year for the new Canadian Premier League, Forge FC is forever first the inaugural CPL champions, and it’s also the first year that team and league have been added to a video game.
The Canadian Premier League has been added as free DLC bundle for Sega’s Football Manager 2020.
The DLC is officially licensed and includes player faces, league and club crests, league trophy and the kits from the 2019 season. You can take charge of any of the seven teams from the league as you strive to lift the Canadian Premier League Championship.
The DLC will be refreshed for the 2020 season, including updated kits for the new campaign, in a future update.
The update looks like it’s only available for the main Football Manager 2020 game, which is available via Steam and streaming on Google Stadia. The update is not supported on Football Manager Mobile and it doesn’t appear that the CPL update will be available on Football Manager Touch, which “provides all the exictement of the full game but in a more streamlined format.” The Touch version of the game is available on Steam, mobile devices, and Nintendo Switch.
