Hamilton FC’s Josh Bennett Granted Two Week Trial with San Jose Earthquakes

HAMILTON, Ont. – Hamilton FC announced today that Josh Bennett has been granted a two week trial with the San Jose Earthquakes of the Major Soccer League.

“This is a great opportunity for me,” commented Bennett, “I’ll have the opportunity to work with the team for an extended period and I know I will have to work hard the entire time I’m there.”

Josh is completing his fourth year at Simon Fraser University where he has attended by virtue of him being selected as the recipient of the David Smith Memorial Scholarship Award.

This opportunity was presented to Josh through the efforts of former National Team player and CSA Hall of Famer, John McGrane. “This is a great opportunity for Josh and represents the outcome contemplated when this scholarship was first established,” commented McGrane.

Hamilton FC congratulates Josh on achieving this opportunity and wishes him every success as he endeavors to crack the Earthquakes line-up.
