Barton Street Paving Begins Monday

With the concrete bed laid and the curbs finished, Hamilton’s Public Works Department will complete paving on Barton Street from Nash Road to Centennial Parkway next week.

The two-year project on Barton Street, which began in July 2013, involves installation of a water main, full road, curb and sidewalk reconstruction, as well as new traffic infrastructure.

Paving is scheduled to take place nightly (7:00pm to 7:00am) Monday to Thursday. There will also be some daytime traffic restrictions at the intersection of Barton and Nash. The city is expecting delays during the work.

HSR route 4 BAYFRONT will detoured for one day during the paving operations.
