Pinky Lewis to get Extreme Park Makeover

Through the support of the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and Communities in Bloom, the City of Hamilton, working with the Rotary Club of Hamilton, Wever CORE and the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board will be restoring the area around the Pinky Lewis Parkette and Cathy Wever School on June 19th.

Volunteers are invited to join in this exciting project to build an outdoor classroom, teaching garden and nature areas at the Norman Pinky Lewis Parkette and Cathy Wever School.

The community is also invited to join in on June 20th for an award ceremony followed by a community celebration.

June will be a busy month as the City works on two Extreme Park Makeovers. Belview Park will be made over on Wednesday, June 11th as students from Holy Name of Jesus School along with community volunteers transform this park. Volunteers are also invited to be a part of the park renewal and join in for a community celebration afterwards.

Previously Birge Park was also the recipient of a makeover, which was done in partnership with a TVO television program.
