The City of Hamilton has revised the truck route network in the city.
On June 8th and July 9th, city council approved the changes to the truck route system. A total of thirty permanent changes were made, including roads being removed from the network, added to the network, upgraded from part-time to full-time and vice versa. Additionally three routing changes were made with an 18-month trial period.
The change will require the change and addition of new signage around the city. According to the city website the changes are already being made and should be completed this month. New and altered signs will have the ‘new starburst’ sign above the new truck route sign.
Take a look at the website for more information including a map of the changed network. It makes for some interesting reading.
