Alert Ready test postponed May 8th in Ontario and Quebec due to flooding

Ontario has postponed its participation in the Alert Ready test originally scheduled to take place across Canada on May 8th, 2019.

The test was originally planned to happen on May 8th at 2:55pm ET in Ontario. The test was to have taken place on television, the radio, and on mobile phones for compatible devices.

The test in Ontario is being poatponed due to the high number of ongoing flood-related emergencies throughout the province.

The test has also been postponed in Quebec.

The test will still take place throughout the rest of Canada at 1:55pm local time in most areas.
