Hamilton FC went the entire month of May without losing a match. In the three games they played, all at home, the ladies didn't give up a single goal, shutting out their opponents in three straight games. Sunday's game would also end in a shut out, but HFC would be on the wrong side this time as they were held without a point by the Toronto Lynx 2-0.
Both of Toronto's goals came in the opening forty-five minutes. Forwards Cloe Lacasse and Adriana Leon netted goals for the Lady Lynx.
Hamilton struggled to get things going at Centennial Park Stadium and were held to just a single shot on goal in the opening half. That shot came courtesy of midfielder Jesse Shugg, who had fifty two minutes of playing time. Hamilton's second shot of the game came during the second half. Chiara Greco, who was subbed into the game at the 46' mark replacing midfielder Olivia Colosimo, sent HFC's only second half marker towards goal. Toronto keeper Sabrina Victoria D'Angelo made saves on both shots.
Toronto had nine shots on goal during the game, five in the first half and four in the second.
Hamilton goal keeper Genevieve Richard, who earned the shut out in the previous two matches, made six saves in the loss.
HFC will continue their road trip with a stop at the Aquinas Institute in Rochester Wednesday night. Game time is set for 7pm. The two teams met last on May 23rd when Hamilton shut out the Ravens 1-0.
