Southbound Red Hill Valley Parkway to re-open Wednesday night

Construction in the southbound (upbound) lanes of the Red Hill Valley Parkway (RHVP) is nearly complete. Crews worked through the weekend to finish installing new guiderails and complete line painting operations.

The City anticipates work on the southbound lanes will be complete on Wednesday, July 10th and the road will be re-opened beginning at 11 pm on Wednesday, weather permitting.

The final phase of the resurfacing project will begin on Thursday, July 11th and will include closures on the ramps at the south end of the RHVP at Mud Street/Stone Church Road. It is anticipated the ramp closures will begin late in the day on Wednesday, July 10th.

Specifically, closures will include:

  • Ramp from Mud St to westbound Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway
  • Ramp from the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway to westbound Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway
  • Ramp from the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway to the northbound RHVP
