Two charged after search warrent executed; firearms and Illegal drugs seized

Hamilton has seen an increase in the number of shootings since the beginning of January 2019, which have mostly been attributed to drug trafficking.

A search warrant was executed by the Make Safe task force that resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of illegal drugs, a firearm and Canadian currency.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, Hamilton Police Service executed a search warrant at a west end residence in relation to illegal drug activity. During the search, Hamilton Police seized a large quantity of “Blue Meth” and fentanyl, ”Popcorn” (heroin/fentanyl), methamphetamine, three stun guns, a pellet gun revolver modified to fire 22 calibre ammunition and a holster. As well over $800 of Canadian currency several scales, a money counter and other items associated with drug trafficking were seized.
