UPDATE: The West Leg of the Sherman Access will reopen this evening by 8 p.m. Crews worked through the weekend and Monday to clear debris and investigate the site to ensure public safety following the rock slide on Friday afternoon.
The West Leg of the Sherman Access is currently closed in both directions until due to falling rocks and debris.
The west end of the SHERMAN ACCESS will remain closed until at least Monday afternoon as crews continue to cleanup from Friday’s rock slide.
The closure comes after a steady run of freezing and thawing, coupled with many days of rain in recent weeks. City crews are on the scene investigating and clearing debris. This work will continue over the course of the weekend. City crews are investigating of both the east and west legs of the Access proactively to ensure public safety.
The East Leg of the Sherman Access remains open.
