AHL: Bulldogs Look to Ground Aeros

The Hamilton Bulldogs continue their bid to win a second Calder Cup this afternoon in Houston. Game 2 in the Western Conference Finals will be held at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas today with the Bulldogs trailing the series 1-0.

This is a new spot for the team in these playoffs as they started both of the previous rounds with two straight victories. The Bulldogs had home ice advantage in both previous series, first with Oklaholma City and then Manitoba, and won both of their games at home. If this series in Houston follows that trend the ‘Dogs could be in trouble today.

Through the regular season the Bulldogs and the Aeros only squared off twice and the teams split the series 1-1. The first meeting between the two teams came at home in Hamilton where the Bulldogs came out on the losing end. The very next week the Bulldogs would shut out the Aeros 5-0.

Game 2 is now underway in Houston.
