Bengals conference finals with Six Nations starts Friday

Having won their first round in a three game sweep and the second round in an intense four game round, the Hamilton Bengals have made it to the Western Conference Finals in the Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League.

Hamilton will now set their sights on the Six Nations Rebels who will be their opponents in the Western Conference Finals. The teams met just once during the regular season with the Rebels edging the Bengals by a goal.

Both teams are pretty balanced though the Rebels have had a strong playoff run so far. While both teams are 6-1 through the first two rounds, Six Nations has second in the playoffs scored with an average of 13 goals per game, slightly ahead of Hamilton’s 10.86. Six Nations also has a better power play, penalty kill, and let in less goals per game on average than the Bengals. Through the regular season Six Nations was the best team in the league in both goals for as well as goals against.

The next round should be an intense round of lacrosse.
