Blues rally to sink the Sailors 3-2

The Dundas Blues rallied on Sunday afternoon in a trip to Dover as the visiting team scored three straight as they defeated the home team Port Dover Sailors 3-2. The victory is the second straight for the Blues.

After the first period finished with the Sailors getting a two goal advantage thanks to a pair of power play goals, the final two thirds of the game belonged to the Blues.

Chris Cudek got the Blues on the board early in the second period with a power play goal at 5:04 of the middle stanza. A second goal from Cudek tied the game at two goals a piece later in the third period. Zac Plumb would complete the comeback in the final minutes of the game, netting the game winner at 17:02 of the final frame.

Jake Flemming made 24 saves on 26 shots in between the pipes for the Blues. The Blues had the edge in shots 27-26. Jamieson Buck, Carter Franks, Zac Plumb, Chris Cudek, and Stephen Bell each had an assist in the victory.

Next up the 2-0 Blues will return to their home away from home on Thursday night when they welcome the 4-0 Glanbrook Rangers to Olympic Arena. Game time is 7:30pm.
