Breault scores lone goal in Avs preseason loss in Kitchener

The preseason for Ancaster continues as the club looks to put the pieces together for the upcoming regular season. Nicholas Breault scored the lone goal for the Avalanche as they were downed by the Kitchener Dutchmen 4-1 on Thursday night.

The lone goal, which came was unassisted, came midway through the second period. With The Dutchmen up by a pair of goals, Nicholas Breault got his stick on the puck and cut the lead by one goal at 13:06 of the middle frame. Kitchener would add another pair off goals in the third period on their way to victory.

Justin Vertesi and Adam Siek split time in goal for the Avalanche, both goalies giving up two goals a piece.

Ancaster has three games remaining in the preseason before everything resets for the start of the regular season. The Avalanche will host the Kitchener Dutchmen on Saturday night from the Morgan Firestone Arena in Ancaster. The teams face off starting at 7:30pm.
