Four consecutive goals helped Dundas Real McCoys erase a 3-1 deficit en route to a 6-5 victory tonight over the Brantford Blast on Teddy Bear Toss Night in the Harry Howell Arena.
The win broke a two-game losing streak for Dundas. In other action, the Hamilton Steelhawks stunned the Whitby Dunlops 6-1 victory in the Dave Andreychuck Mountain Arena. It is only the second loss of the season for the Dunlops.
Santa Claus was in the house tonight in Flamborough, and watched players from the Flamborough Falcons Girls Hockey Association retrieve Teddy Bears from the ice and the walkway behind the boards following the McCoys first goal of the gem by Ben Skinner.
The next action for Dundas is Friday, December 29th against the Stoney Creek Generals at 8 p.m. in the Howell Arena. The Harry Howell Arena is situated just west of Clappison’s Corners at the junction of Highways 6 and 5 in Flamborough.
Phil Brewer led Dundas with two goals and an assist. Ben Skinner scored twice, while Matt Foy and Dan Lapointe added single goals. Brantford replied with a pair of goals by Jason Williams and single goals by Dave Russell, Derek Medeiros, and Dustin Alcock. Charlie Stephens set up three scoring plays, and Paul McIlveen assisted on two more.
