The Hamilton Bulldogs scored 3 unanswered goals in the 3rd period on Wednesday night to leave the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines with a 4-2 win and a 3-1 lead in the best of 7 Eastern Conference Semi-Final series.
Hamilton goaltender Kaden Fulcher was outstanding to start Game 4, as he made a number of key saves to keep Niagara off the board. The Bulldogs opened the scoring at 9:07 of the 1st period as Marian Studenic buried a feed from Ryan Moore for his 1st of the playoffs. Niagara was quick to even things up 1-1 as they scored 52 seconds later. The Bulldogs thought they had re-taken the lead, but Arthur Kaliyev’s goal was called off due to contact with the Niagara goaltender.
The IceDogs were quick to take a 2-1 lead in the 2nd period, as a shot from the point found the back of the net at 1:55.
In the 3rd period it was all Bulldogs. Isaac Nurse took a feed from defenseman Connor Walters and put a backhand over the blocker of Stephen Dhillon to tie the game at 2-2 at 1:57. Less than a minute later, Marian Studenic buried a rebound for the game-winning goal. Robert Thomas capped off the win with an empty-net goal with 1 second left in the game.
Hamilton out-shot Niagara 27-26.

Game 5 in the series goes Thursday night at FirstOntario Centre at 7 pm.
