Canadiens Sign Brendon Nash

Montreal Canadiens General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the signing of forward defenceman Brendon Nash to a one-year contract for the 2012-2013 season.

Brendon Nash, 25, missed the entire 2011-2012 season with a shoulder injury suffered at Montreal Canadiens training camp last September. In the season before, his first season as a professional, Nash recorded 30 points (5 goals, 25 assists) in his 75 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs. Nash also played two games with the Montreal Canadiens.

A native of Calgary, Alberta, Nash signed with the Montreal Canadiens as a free agent on March 30, 2010.

The Hamilton Bulldogs' home opener takes place on Friday, October 19th at Copps Coliseum.
