Cardinals re-sign Jake Chiaravalle

The Hamilton Cardinals have announced that the club has re-signed outfielder Jake Chiaravalle.

After a successful collegiate career at McMaster Chiaravalle joined the Cardinals briefly in 2015 before becoming a regular in 2017. Chiaravalle is entering is 4th full season in the IBL and has a lifetime .280 batting average with 10 home runs and 44 runs driven in.

Last year Jake hit .274 (34-124) with 9 doubles and 4 home runs.

“Feels great to be back with the team for another summer,” stated Chiaravalle. “We’ve got a great veteran group that will set the tone for the younger players. I look forward to getting out there and competing for a championship. That’s the goal.”

“Jake is the kind of guy every team wants and needs,” stated Cardinals’ general manager Jeff Lounsbury. “He plays hard, he plays for the name on the front of his jersey and not the back and he’s improving as well. He has been very consistent in the last 4 years and his power numbers are improving. He is a club house leader and helps make all the guys more comfortable. It’s great to have local leadership like Jake.”

While the schedule hasn’t been announced yet, the 2020 Intercounty Baseball League season starts in May. Season tickets are now on sale.
