Cudek with a hat-trick as Blues down Hawks 5-3

Chris Cudek had another breakout night for the Blues on Saturday night as the Cudek netted three goals as he helped the Dundas Blues to a 5-3 victory in Hagersville. The win improves Dundas to 4-3.

It was the second straight game with a hat trick for the Burlington native who also scored four goals at home on Thursday. In total Cudek has scored 11 goals in 7 games this season, good enough to be in a six-way tie for second most goals scored in the league. Cudek had one goal on the power play, one while the Blues were short handed, and one at even strength.

The Blues also had goals in Hagersville courtesy Connor Pilon with his third of the season and Brent Carey who netted his first of the year at 12:43 of the second period.

Jake Flemming made 31 saves on 34 shots in between the pipes for Dundas in the win.

Next up the Blues will return home to Olympic Arena on Thursday night when they host the Port Dover Sailors. Face off is set for 7:30pm.
