Dundas Blues return to their roots

The Blues have announced that they are going back to their naming roots. Beginning in the 2019-20 hockey season the team will once again be called the Dundas Blues.

The Blues rebranded themselves last season as the Hamilton Huskey Jr. Blues when they partnered with the Hamilton Huskies hockey program.

“After some discussion between the Dundas Blues executive and the Hamilton Huskies Organization we are excited to announce we’ve decided to go back to the Dundas Blues,” the organization said in a release on Friday. “With the return to JLGrightmire Arena and our 60th anniversary of junior hockey in Dundas it only made sense to go back to our roots.”

The Blues have been without their home arena for the last two seasons with delays to renovations of the J.L Grightmire Arena in Dundas. Those renovations are nearly complete and the arena is expected to be open in time for the upcoming hockey season.

The Blues are in the midst of running summer skates as they prepare for the upcoming season. More information can be found on their website.
