Forge FC blank Valour FC 2-0

Forge FC Hamilton defeated Valour FC in Winnipeg on Thursday night 2-0. The victory moves Forge FC’s record to 2-2-1 while Valour FC is now 2-3-0.

Anthony Novak got the scoring started for Forge when Anthony Novak took a pass at the 8′ mark and went up field all alone. Novak stepped around Valour keeper Farago and tapped the ball into the net. Then later in the game it was Tristan Borges’ turn. In the 69th minute Borges took a pass just outside the box and kicked the ball past a sprawling keeper to double the Forge lead.

The win puts Forge FC one point behind Calvary FC for the lead in the Spring season with seven points. Cavalry FC are undefeated so far this season. With five games played this season, Forge FC have the most goals scored so far with eight goals.

Next up Forge FC Hamilton will pay their first visit to cross provincial rivals York9 next Saturday at 4pm ET.
