The lead lasted until the midpoint of the period when Hespeler’s Devin Schneider evened the score at 10:12 of the opening frame.
Connor McQuhae would restore the one goal lead for the visiting Rangers just over a minute later however as the Hamilton native netted his 17th goal of the season at 11:29 of the period.
The one goal lead would last for nearly two full periods until Shamrocks’ Brett Hartin tied the game at midway through the third period. Hartin lit the goal lamp at 9:02 of the third period.
Overtime wouldn’t find a winner though and the game ended in a 2-2 tie. Glanbrok’s Mitchell Robinson stopped 37 of 39 shots between the pipes in the game.
Next up the Rangers will return to Glanbrook Arena on Wednesday night when they’ll welcome the Hagersville Hawks to the barn.
