Glanbrook Rangers top Simcoe Storm 4-2

The Glanbrook Rangers remained undefeated through the first week of the PJHL season as they closed out the weekend in Simcoe. A strong second period propelled the Rangers to victory over the Storm 4-2.

After a scoreless first period the Rangers came to life in the second period with a trio of goals. After the Storm put up the first goal of the game early in the middle stanza, Mathew Rimac replied with a power play goal at 9:41 of the period. That goal was followed up with Connor Maitz at 10:53 and later Garnet Batrynchuk at the 17:15 mark.

Simcoe’s Matthew Tonner netted a power play goal for Simcoe early in the third period but Glanbrook’s Noah Matteson added a power play goal of his own a m minute later to seal the 4-2 victory.

Garnet Batrynchuk, Brad Parish, Cameron Lapointe, Josh Pace, and Connor King all picked up assists for the Rangers. Daniel Kocsis picked up the win between the pipes for Glanbrook.
