Hamilton Kilty B’s down Falcons 3-1

After falling behind after the first period the Hamilton Kilty B’s came back with back to back goals in the second period to come away with the victory. Hamilton improves to a record of 23-14-2-1 and sits in fourth place in the Golden Horseshoe Conference of the GOJHL. The Kilty B’s have also now secured their spot in the playoffs.

St. Catharines got the scoring started late in the first period. Fort Erie Cail Cirillo put the puck in the net for his second goal with the Falcons at 16:24 of the first period to give St. Catharines the lead.

The lead would last until midway through the second period when the Kilty B’s resureged. Nick Giamou evened the score for Hamilton at 10:46 of the second period as the Oakville native netted his second goal of the season. Eli Rivers would give the Kilty B’s the lead in what would be the game winning goal just a few minutes later. The forward, who joined the team from the Buffalo Regals earlier in the year, netted his eighth goal since joining the black and gold at 14:00 of the period.

Jacob Macdonald would add an empty netter at 19:13 of the third period to seal victory for Hamilton. Justin Easter made 27 saves on 28 shots in goal for the Kilty B’s.

The Kilty B’s will have the rest of the week off until the boys buzz the Welland Arena on Sunday night. Hamilton will visit Welland on Sunday night starting at 7:05pm.
