Honey Badgers drop second in a row

The Hamiton Honey Badgers wrapped up a four game road trip on Thursday night with a 102-92 loss in Edmonton. The loss drops the Honey Badgers’ record to 7-5 while the Edmonton Stingers improve to 7-5. Both teams are now tied for second place in the Canadian Elite Basketball League.

The Honey Badgers fell behind early and couldn’t make up the deficit which extended as the game went on. Hamilton was outpaced in the first three quarters though they matched the Stingers shot for shot in the fourth.

Ricky Tarrant Jr. lead the Honey Badgers with 23 points while Demetrius Denzel-Dyson had 20 points.

The loss was Hamilton’s second straight but they’ll look to rebound on Saturday afternoon when the Honey Badgers return home to the FirstOntario Centre. Hamilton will host the Fraser Valley Bandits, who have won two in a row after losing their first nine games, at 5pm.
