Huge comeback win for Hamilton City in 4-1 victory over Toronto Atomic

In CSL action on Saturday Hamilton City rallied for a huge come from behind victory over over Toronto Atomic FC. Trailing 1-0 at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke, the boys in blue and black scored four straight goals to come away with a 4-1 victory.

Toronto Atomic opened the scoring with the first goal of the game coming at the 25 minute mark. Toronto’s Bogdan Poliakov put the ball into the net past Hamilton goalkeeper Adrian Becic. Hamilton’s Drazen Vukovic tied the for Hamilton at the 32 minutes mark with Igor Krmar giving Hamilton City the 2-1 lead at just minutes later.

After taking the lead into half-time, Maxime Boksic pushed the lead even further with a goal at the 48 minutes mark. Zdenko Jurcevic scored the final goal of the game for Hamilton following a foul in Hamilton’s favour at 64 minutes.

The win gives Hamilton another three points in the standings, but the results of last weekend’s game has yet to be decided. The referee of that match abandoned the game last in the second half after an altercation on the field. Hamilton City was up 1-0 in that match. The result of the match will likely be released later this week.

Next up Hamilton returns to Cardinal Newman on Friday night at 8:00 PM when they host Scarborough SC.
