
Forge FC Hamilton have announced that team captain Kyle Bekker will return food a third season this summer. The Oakville native helped lead Forge FC you back to back Canadian Premiere League championships in 2018 and 2019.
Bekker also won the league’s Player of the Year award this past season, his second straight nomination for the award.
In an interview with Forge FC reporter Louie Butko, Bekker expressed his interest in sticking with the club into the future.
“I think that’s something I would definitely be happy about. It’s a fantastic club, it’s a fantastic community, it’s somewhere I want to be for years to come and have success. As long as they’ll have me, I’ll still be here.”
There’s no word on the schedule or format for the 2021 season due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
