Mohawk Gets Silver in CCAA Mens Curling

Logan James and his Mohawk Mountaineers have won the silver medal at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Curling Championship.

The Mohawk foursome lost 7-4 to the Fanshawe Falcons in Camrose Alberta Saturday.

Starting with the hammer, Charlie Richard of the Falcons blanked the first two ends before scoring three in the third.

James got two in the fourth end, then stole a single in the fifth to tie the score.

However, Richard counted two in the sixth and stole a single in the seventh.

The teams swapped singles in the eighth and ninth ends, but it was too little too late for the Mountaineers.

Ryan Dahmler of Red Deer won the bronze medal, 10-3 over Zack Shurtleff of Humber.
