Mohawk’s Otong Takes Home Four OCAA Men’s Basketball Awards

Mohawk’s Emanuel Otong has been named OCAA Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Year. He was also selected the West Division Rookie of the Year and named to the West Division All-Rookie Team. He was picked as a West Division Second Team All-Star.

Otong, a 6’6” Forward from Cambridge, played an average of 34.5 minutes per game for 20 games. He scored 25.3 points per game, was 42.6 percent on field goal tries and 35.8 percent on three-point attempts.

Milos Mladjan of Hamilton made the West Division All-Rookie Team.

Mladjan averaged 12.8 points per game, shooting 47.1 percent from the floor over 20 games.

The OCAA Awards Ceremony was held in Barrie, site of the 2018-19 belairdirect OCAAMen’s Basketball Championship, hosted by Georgian College.
