Mole leads Dundas to 6th straight win

Whitby Dunlops came to play, and turned in one of their best performances of the season against the Dundas Real McCoys in Dundas tonight, but it was not enough as they fell 3-1 in the JL Grightmire Arena.

The Dundas victory was its sixth consecutive of the season

The turning point of the game came late in the first period as Dundas goalkeeper Mike Mole successfully held off a two-man Whitby power play advantage. The McCoys led 1-0 at the end of the first. Mole stopped 39 of the 40 shots fired his way in the game.

In other Allan Cup Hockey action, the Hamilton Steelhawks hammered the Brantford Blast 11-2 in the Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena.

The next action for Dundas is Friday, January 24th when they play host to the Brantford Blast in the Grightmire Arena at 7:30 p.m.

Dundas got single goals from Mackenzie Wood, Shawn Snider, and Phil Brewer. Brewer iced the game with a long shot from the top of the left faceoff circle at 13:20 of the third period. Matt Baxter replied for Whitby.
