MVC 15U Win Gold at Eastern Canadian Championships

The Mountain Volleyball Club 15U team went the distance winning the Gold medal at the 15U Division 2 Tier 1 Eastern Canadian Championships in Waterloo.

In pool play and the power pools, MVC 15U defeated the Spartans (NB) 25-14, 25-15; Maverick Trailblazers (ON) 25-19, 25-18; lost to FCVC Blue (ON) 26-24, 25-13; clawed the Thundercats (ON) 18-25, 25-22, 15-12 and were defeated by Preds Ambush (ON) 11-25, 25-18, 15-9 and PVB High Performance (ON) 25-19, 25-20.

In the quarter final, MVC 15U took vengeance on FCVC Blue (ON) winning 25-15,
25-19 and defeated the Durham Attack Red (ON) 25-9, 28-26 in the semi-finals.

For the Championship, MVC 15U prevailed over PVB High Performance (ON) winning a three set match thriller 25-16, 17-25, 15-12 to win the Gold medal.

The MVC 15U team is coached by Denis Levesque of Hamilton and Rob Cherubin of Stoney Creek. The MVC 15U team players include Laura Persichini, Grace Manning, Abby MacDonald and Logan Garvey of Hamilton, Graziella Assaf and Abigail Alliston of Ancaster, Olivia Cherubin and Isabela Gondar of Stoney Creek and Julia Hapke and Leah Oehring of Burlington.
