Saturday night the SCP Patriots traveled down the 403 to conclude the 2018 regular season road schedule against what was to be our toughest opponent to date. On a warm but comfortable night in Cambridge the game was as predicted a defensive struggle for both teams as neither team was able to score a point in the first quarter.

On the first play of the second quarter The 5-0 Pats scored the first points of the game on a 26 yd field goal by Adam Pallett to make it 3-0 for SCP. Both teams held tough until the 13:37 mark when former Patriots Jaeger Perna caught a 23 yd TD pass from QB Jesse Damm to make it 7-3 for Tri City going into the half.

The score held until 6:08 until Tri City missed a field goal which was recovered 10 yds deep in the end zone by DB Donovan Saunders who then returned it all the way for a 120 yd Td making it 10-7 for SCP until Pallett added his second FG of the night to close out the quarter at 13-7.

It was a quiet 4th quarter until the 12:02 mark when FB Donnie Bosher scored on a 1 yard plunge to make it 19-7 due to a missed PAT. SCP then finished the scoring with 12 seconds left with a safety to make the final 21-7.

Up next for SCP is a home date on July 14th vs Ottawa for Purolator Tackle Hunger night. Kickoff is at 6pm at Nelson Stadium.
