Patriots hit the road for win over Sault

Saturday the undefeated SCP Patriots hit the road to travel to Sault Ste Marie to take on the 2-2 Steelers in Northern Football Conference action. Led by WR Sean Squires who scored the first of his 3 Tds on The Pats first possession and assisted by the vaunted defence led by Donovan Saunders ( who had 3 INTs for SCP) and Tyler Bistrovich with his 3rd pick 6 on the season and Kyle Erskine who had 5 tackles, The Pats defeated The Sault Steelers 45-0 to up their record to 5-0.

Along with Squires The SCP offence had Tds by Johan Jenkins and Ishiha Nice to go along with a 32 yd FG by Adam Pallett to round out the scoring by the Pats.

The Patriots led 24-0 at the half and didn’t look back as they outplayed a very tough Steeler team who came into the game tied for first place with Tri City and Sarnia with 2-2 records. SCP played well on all three facets of the game with Josh Madden throwing for 4 Tds on the day. Up next for The Pats is a game just down the 403 against The Tri City Outlaws who won their game on Saturday before returning home for the final two games of the regular season.
