Patriots roll down QEW and over Longhorns

The Hamilton Steel City Patriots entered Bronte Field in Oakville with a 2-1 record Saturday night, and exited at 3-1 after a big 54-12 win over the Longhorns.

With a beautiful Summer evening on full display, the Patriots took the opportunity to display the strength of all three phases of their team, scoring touchdowns on offence, defence and special teams. Former Longhorn and CFL player, Archelaus Jack led the Patriots in scoring with a 73 yard TD reception and an 85 yard punt return TD. Newly signed safety and former Tri-City Outlaw, Jake Egars, brought a spark to the defence with an interception return touchdown, endearing himself to his new teammates.

Next Saturday, June 29, the Patriots travel to Sarnia to face the Imperials in a rematch of the 2018 NFC Semi-Final which saw the Patriots fall to the Imperials in a heartbreaker.

Kick off is at 7pm at Norm Perry Park.
