Dundas Real McCoys will play their fundraising match against the Stoney Creek Generals on Family Day, Monday, February 18th at 2 p.m. in the Harry Howell Arena, raising funds for Margaret’s Place Hospice.
“We look forward to a great community event on Family Day 2019,” said Don Robertson, President and General Manager of the McCoys. The Howell Arena is situated at Clappison’s Corners just west of the intersection of Highways 5 and 6.
“The Real McCoys are excited to be involved with Margaret’s Place fundraising efforts to build a new, much-needed Hospice in the Community. “It is a privilege to be able to participate in these efforts and we wish to thank St. Josephs Villa, and Margaret and Charles Juravinski for theiron-going Community leadership,” said Robertson.

The team’s efforts to support our Gift of Love campaign show their commitment to Dundas and helping us create a leading centre of excellence for end of life care,” said Maureen Ellis, President and CEO of the St. Joseph’s Villa Foundation.
St. Joseph’s Villa was founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton in 1879 as the House of Providence. Over the years, the Villa has grown to become a recognized leader throughout Canada for its comprehensive care for the elderly.
A key member of St. Joseph’s Health System, St. Joseph’s Villa, is a non-profit charitable long term care facility in Dundas. It is recognized as one of Ontario’s largest and most innovative long term care homes with 390 beds. St. Joseph’s Villa serves a large geographical area which includes all of the Hamilton Region.
The Villa voluntarily submits to an external third party review by Accreditation Canada (formerly CCHSA) and CARF/CCAC receiving the highest available accreditation rankings from each organization.
The Villa has been recipient of the Hamilton Community News Readers’ Choice Awards and Hamilton Spectator’s Readers’ Choice recipients for several years for the best long term care home.
