Robinson nets hat trick as Bengals win fourth straight

The Hamilton Bengals won their fourth game in a row on Saturday afternoon as the boys travelled north to Owen Sound. The black and gold toppled the hometown North Stars by a score of 11-6.

After a low scoring period that saw the Bengals trailing by a goal, five goals in the first ten minutes of the second period blew the barn doors wide open.

Luke Robinson scored the lone goal for Hamilton through the opening twenty and added his second of the game on the power play at 7:20 of the second period. That goal followed four straight goals from Hamilton from Yvon Bolduc, Cooper Day-Allison, Tye Argent, and a short-handed goal from Jacob Parkinson.

Owen Sound got their legs under them in the final frame with three goals, but the boys in black couldn’t be stopped as Hamilton added another five goals through the final twenty minutes. Bolduc got his second of the game at 5:08 of the period while Carter Schultz, Hunter Aggus, and Tanner Brenneke also found the back of the net. Luke Robinson sealed his hat trick with a goal at the 13 minute mark of the game.

The victory is the Bengals’ fourth straight as the team moves to 5-1 on the season so far. Hamilton jumps into second place in the Mid West division ahead of Owen Sound with 10 points.

Next up the Bengals will visit the London Blue Devils on Monday night at 8pm from the Nicholos Centre. Game time is set for 8pm.
