Rooke Leads Mohawk Runners Again

Mohawk’s Kyle Rooke finished first in the Seneca Invitational Cross Country race in North York Saturday (Sep.29). He was timed in 27:53 over an eight kilometre course. Rooke also won the Fanshawe race September 15.

Fred Muriu was second at Seneca, timed in 28:45, Jason Laporta was sixth in 29:10 and Josh Boisvert finished 34th in 33:36.

The Mohawk men finished second behind Fanshawe in the team competition.

It was also a 1-2 finish for Fanshawe and Mohawk in the women’s 6K event.

Mohawk’s Kaitlyn Pansegrau was fourth in 24:50. Ashley lot finished 11th in 25.22, Hannah Sukkau was 16th in 27.11 and Katarina Balmazan placed 34th in 33:06.

Kaitlyn L’Abbe of Georgian won in 24:24.
