W-League: Hamilton FC Ladies Home Opener at Ivor Wynne Stadium

Hamilton FC Ladies led the way today playing the first half of a double-header against the Ottawa Fury. Both team played entertaining football with a focus on possession and ball movement. The first 10 minutes were tentative as both teams worked early to settle into the game and exert some dominance over the other. It was Ottawa who would strike first to go up 1-0. The goal came from a nicely executed free-kick, floated in to the back post. The cross was headed back across the face of goal and headed into the gaping net by an unmarked Ottawa player. The score was 1-0 Ottawa after the first half.

Hamilton applied a lot of pressure in the second half with the Ottawa goalie making several key saves in the second half.

Overall an entertaining and exciting game all around!
