Portrait of a City: Hamilton

I came accross this great video today. It’s a promotional video produced in the 1940s spotlighting the city of Hamilton. The video shows off our parks, industry and people.

This is a fantastic example of a tourism video from the era and it certainly something to see.

This video was originally posted by Brian Potstra (@bpotstra), who stated that a friend of a friend rescued the video when it was being thrown out at City Hall.  Boy, am I glad that he did. It makes you wonder how many other treasures there are out there of our ‘ambitious’ city.
